Installation organ Osnabrück

The organ for St. Johann in Osnabrück will be installed and voiced starting in October 2024. The new instrument is a reorganization of valuable historical material from predecessor organs. Approximately 200 pipes from Georg Slegel (1592) have been preserved, and approximately 600 pipes from Johann Adam Berner (1787). This pipework has been placed where it stood in 1787. Because a large number of the front pipes have been preserved, the design of the front follows that of 1787. The bellows, case, mechanism and wind chests are new. A few voices and a Hinterwerk have been added to the disposition from 1787 on each division.

"You can make a new organ exactly the way you want it, that has a certain charm. But if you can discover what the generations before you have done and if that is also very beautiful - it is really beautiful work - then it is just even more fun."
