On Wednesday 6 March 2019, former director Frits Elshout was appointed Honorary Member of the Royal College of Music in London. Frits was ceremoniously presented with the appointment by Prince Charles, during the annual President’s Visit to the RCM. The honorary membership is a crowning achievement for the organ maker, who worked at Flentrop since 1971 until his retirement in 2019.
