The NMF received the request for an improved version of a metal pan flute in February 2020. The fund took up that challenge together with organ builder Flentrop in Zaandam.

A year and a half later, the experts are putting the finishing touches to the new instrument. The development and purchase of the instrument was made possible thanks to a donation from a private individual. A detailed article about it appeared in the Magazine of the NMF.
