Flentrop Orgelbouw has a brand new, clear website with a fantastic searchable organ database. The old, classic HTML website was already more than 14 years old and was in dire need of replacement, both technically and in terms of content. For example, the services have been relocated, documentation and advice added and recent organ projects have been expanded with text and photos.
Clear and searchable
The responsive website has new, easy-to-read texts that explain exactly how we approach our projects with a love of sound, music, history and craftsmanship. Everything has become much clearer for the reader with, among other things, searchable news items, filterable team members, an improved discography and relevant videos. Supplemented with beautiful photos of the craft, a visual timeline of more than 100 years of history and extensive organ projects.
Renewed organ database
And are you looking for a specific organ, organs by a specific organ builder or curious about projects in a specific country? In the renewed, user-friendly organ database with almost 700 organs, you can filter in many different ways. For example, by name, builder, city, postcode or country via the search window. Sorting by alphabet, type of organ or number of manuals is also a piece of cake. Finally, you can use sliders to filter organs within a range of years or number of registers. The organ database will be further developed in the coming period.
Thanks to: Klaas Koelewijn, Ed Lustig, Cynthia Turner and Erik Winkel for their input and supply of material and Erica Hoorn for the work on the organ database.
Erik Visscher (Studio Erkwerk), Femke Brand (Tekstwinkel), Elisabeth Melchior Photography, Koert Braches (Textual) for construction, design, photography and translation. The organ database will be further developed in the coming period.
